Direct Care Worker

A Direct Care Worker (DCW) is a trained professional who provides essential assistance with daily living activities for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring they receive support for personal care, activities of daily living, and maintaining safe, healthy environments.

Homemaker/Housekeeper

A Homemaker/Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. Key duties include cleaning and sanitizing common areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens, handling laundry, and ensuring the facility meets health and safety standards. The Housekeeper also may assist with grocery shopping, organizing supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues to management. Attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols are essential

House Manager

House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents. Key duties include supervising staff, managing schedules, coordinating resident care plans, maintaining facility cleanliness, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and providing support to residents with daily activities. The House Manager acts as a liaison between residents, staff, and external agencies, ensuring that the needs of residents are met in a compassionate and efficient manner. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Attendant Care

Attendant Care Services provides assistance to members to help them perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). These services are designed to support individuals in maintaining independence and improving their quality of life. Attendant care includes help with tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. The services are typically provided in the individual’s home and can be tailored to the specific needs of the individual.

Habilitation

Habilitation Services as services designed to help individuals with developmental disabilities acquire, retain, and improve the skills needed for daily living and greater independence. These services may include teaching or assisting with personal care, social skills, communication, community participation, and vocational skills. Habilitation services are personalized to the individual’s goals and needs, aiming to enhance their ability to live and function in the community. These services can be provided in-home or in community settings.

Respite

Respite Services provides short-term care to members to give their primary caregivers a temporary break. A Respite Caregiver offers assistance with daily activities, such as personal care, supervision, and support, to ensure the individual’s safety and well-being while allowing the primary caregiver time for rest or other activities. Respite services can be provided in-home or in a community-based setting and are designed to prevent caregiver burnout and support the family unit.
